A recent feature in Elle Decoration UK highlighted one of our most celebrated projects to date—the transformation of Dillon House, a historic farmhouse located in County Kerry, Ireland. This remarkable project is an exemplary display of how we combine heritage design elements with contemporary architecture to create homes that feel both timeless and modern.
The brief was to enhance the connection between the home and its stunning natural surroundings. A new extension was designed to face the panoramic views of the Slieve Mish mountains and Fenit Harbour, while a series of heritage materials, like limewash paint and timber rafters, helped to preserve the farmhouse's original charm. The addition of three-metre-high windows brought in natural light, making the connection to the landscape even stronger, while thoughtful touches like a bold steel balustrade painted in Venetian red were incorporated to add personality and flair.
